Surveillance Short Course

Postgraduate teaching is being provided at the Diploma, MSc, MPhil and PhD level.

Staff members of the Division are teaching a course towards a MSc Veterinary Epidemiology jointly with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and DEFRA's Veterinary Laboratories Agency.

In addition, a Distance Learning programme in Veterinary Epidemiology has been developed by members of the Division which can be taken as individual 35 or 50 hour short courses, or as a Diploma/ MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology & Public Health degree course.

The Division is also involved in running international postgraduate short courses in epidemiological techniques, such as risk analysis and spatial analysis. 

PhD training and post-doctoral fellowships are provided as part of specific research projects.

The Division currently has 11 PhD, 5 residents and 20 MSc students.
